With two and a half decades in aviation maintenance compliance, Kerensa built a career centered around protecting operational integrity, regulatory compliance, and team support.
Kerensa's journey in aviation began in 2000, transitioning from the financial industry into the aircraft records department for a HEMS operator; a leap that quickly turned into a passion for aviation and compliance. Over the years, she served in progressively responsible roles, ultimately supporting national rotor and fixed-wing operation under Part 135/145 through documentation oversight, FAA liaison, and internal audit leadership.
In her most recent role as Maintenance Compliance Specialist, she reported directly to the Director of Maintenance and served as a key point of contact with the FAA. She oversaw self-disclosures through the Voluntary Disclosure Reporting (VDR) Program; submitted Mechanical Interruption Summary (MIS) reports; and regularly assembled and presented aircraft packages for certificate inclusion. She also led responses to FAA Letters of Investigation (LOI) and Compliance Action (CA) letters while collaborating cross-functionally with MCAS leadership, Records, and field teams to maintain a proactive compliance posture.
Her approach has always been rooted in clarity and partnership, providing not just the “what” but the “why” behind regulatory requirements. Whether drafting Pilot’s Maintenance and Servicing Procedures (PMSPs), reviewing service bulletins, or supporting Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, she has aimed to be a trusted resource for frontline technicians and leaders alike.
